Bird Control in Gladstone, Manitoba
Pigeons, starlings and sparrows are not just noisy. Their droppings are corrosive, they foul feed and equipment, they block eaves and vents with nesting material, and they carry mites and disease into barns and shops. Chasing them off does nothing, because they come back to the same ledge they were raised on. The fix is to make that ledge unusable. We install spike strips and deterrents on the ledges, beams, rafters and equipment where birds actually land, so they move on and stay gone.
Why Choose This Service
Stops birds roosting instead of just moving them along for the afternoon
Protects feed, equipment and finished surfaces from droppings, which are corrosive and a real cleanup cost
Keeps nesting material out of eaves, vents and machinery
Reduces the mites, lice and disease that come in with a resident bird population
Works on barns, machine sheds, grain bins, shops and commercial storefronts as well as houses
Physical deterrent, so there is nothing to reapply and nothing to wear off
Our Process
We walk the building and find where the birds are actually landing and nesting, which is usually a handful of specific ledges, beams and sheltered corners rather than the whole structure.
We clear old, inactive nesting and clean up the droppings first, because leaving them there keeps drawing birds back. Active nests of migratory birds cannot legally be disturbed, so if there are eggs or young in place we schedule the install for after they have fledged.
We install spike strips and deterrents along those landing points, sized to the ledge so there is no gap left to perch in.
We check the other likely spots on the building, since birds pushed off one ledge will try the next one over if it is left open.
For barns, bins and commercial buildings we can set up a follow-up visit to catch anywhere they relocate to.
